I’m back! Yaay. And bringing good news! No, not good, great news. Pink Martini recently announced the release of their 8th record for September 24. Well, you guys are well aware that it’s not every year that one of my favorite bands give us the pleasure of releasing a new album so, when that happens, it’s always a good reason to celebrate. The name of the band’s unborn baby couldn’t be better: “Get Happy”. I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned, I’m already happy!Anyways, for those of you who live in Paris, my advise is RUN, because…

I was inspired by an exibition about French chanson that opened in Paris last March, 8th, to make a list of songs about Paris. So I inflicted myself with the herculean task of fishing the top 100 in this HUGE list of 2750 songs about the City of Lights. Problem was: soon, I realized that, not only I would need more the one day work on this list, a post with 100 players would be so big that no internet connexion would be able to charge this blog. As a bonus, Delerm promises there will be a more than special guest: apparently Woody Allen recorded some stuff for the show. The premiere will be…

I’m talking about “Paris-Berlin” a store close to the Bastille Square that sells professional make-up. I had never before heard about the brand but decided to go inside anyway attracted by all the colors and tools that are so appealing to any make-up…

Here’s an amazing video of Paris under three feet of water. I found it last week on a Brazilian blog and today they posted it in the amazing Like Cool website. 5:46 am from ArtefactoryLab on Vimeo.

One of the reasons I created an English version of my Brazilian blog, as I already explained here, is because when I was in Paris last summer, I met a new yorker that, after hearing my tips about Paris, insisted on me creating a blog. Down here are listed some of the tips I gave him. Since I often notice that the most common thing is to find luxury and expensive places when it comes to blogs about Paris, I decided only to give tips about things for free and not so obvious, for people like you and me. Sunset…
