The day that the rains came down

The great website Pure Charts announced yesterday that the song chosen to be the single that will promote the homage album dedicated to Gilbert Bécaud is the amazing The day that the rains came down, interpreted by German singer Ayo (accompanied with the band Readymade FC).

The record was released in December last year (in the 10th anniversary of Bécaud’s death) and features covers with the voices of heavy weights of the French chanson such as Alain Souchon, Olivia Ruiz, Renan Luce and Alex Beaupain. However, in my opinion the best version is really the one sang by Ayo.

Check it out.
