Iggy goes French

Remember when I wrote about Iggy Pop’s new record, the one that’s full of classics of the French chanson?

So, that record is finally out! It’s called Après and is available for sales at the website Vente Privé and also at the iTunes Store for the price of US$ 9,90.

Independently produced, the record will only be available in the digital format for now, but there are plans of releasing an old-fashioned CD afterwards.

Iggy explained today in an article published at Le Monde that the reason he went independent this time was: “Les maisons de disque n’ont jamais fait autre chose que m’humilier, me tourmenter et me démoraliser.”

Good for you, Iggy, we totally support you on this one!
