Do you guys remember I made a post here about Nadeáh? Well, I’ve got news for you. She just released a new video clip for the song At the moment, one of my favorites from her first solo record, called Venus gets even. For those who don’t know that, Nadeáh is Australian and lives in Paris, she started her career as one of the singers of the project Nouvelle Vague.

Yesterday, a reader from my blog in Portuguese tipped me about singer Zoë Avril. It was the first time I heard about this French girl and I fell in love immediately. I found out that she released her debut record in 2008 and, in 2009, she announced she was taking a break from the musical scene. Let’s hope she ends this break soon!Meanwhile, we can have fun listening to some of the tracks from her one and only album, my favorites so far are Paris tout va bien and Le Réveillon.Paris tout vas bien by Zoë Avril on GroovesharkLe Réveillon…

Great news this Monday. The new Anaïs single is available on iTunes Store (only in Europe, as far as I know) and the great website Filles Sourires posted a player with the new song. And I have just read on Emily Loizeau’s fan page that she is in studio for the recordings of her new record. I don’t have any other information regarding to release date or name yet, but I’ll post it as soon as I find out. While we wait for her new record, how about remembering one of the songs from her last album?

I posted here that, since last Monday, Emily Loizeau on her Fan Page that she was back in studio for the recording of her third record. Since then, she’s been posting images for her so called “Journal de bord d’enregistrement” and I decided to post the pictures here, since I know it’s not everyone who has a Facebook account (is it really?). And, of course, that’s a pretty good reason to listen to one of her songs. I selected Voilà Pourquoi, a cute song from Emily Loizeau’s her first record, to be the soundtrack of this post. Day 01: Monday Day 02: Tuesday…

Pink Martini’s newsletter arrived today with an interesting information about an exciting new product (first time I ever heard about such a thing): the Playbutton. The playbutton is nothing but a lapel pin that plays music, literally. How cool is that??In Pink Martini’s case, they are releasing their first record in this brand new format and the amazing Sympathique button is available for the price of US$ 10 (it comes with an USB charger). The songs are in the same order of the original album and they can’t be downloaded. And if you are as amazed as I am with the idea for…

Sweet dear Berry finally released the single for her new record, the very much awaited Les Passagers. The French singer’s second album will be out on April 23 but, meanwhile we can delight both our eyes and ears with the video for Si c’est la vie. And here is the front cover for Berry’s new record, with a stunning pic. Doesn’t she look amazing?

Yey! A new video clip with the new Anaïs song is out. Anaïs chose Je n’embrasse les garçons to be the single of her new record (called L’eau de Javel), but Danseuse Privée was the one she chose to make into a music video. And, like everything the French singer does, the video is full of humor and, in this case, she dresses up as Tina Turner and Mistinguett (great cabaret singer from the Belle Époque) – Anaïs is already known for her impersonations, like the one she did of Carla Bruni. Anaïs – Danseuse Privée

Yesterday, the great website Pure Charts released a player with a preview of Je n’embrasse pas les garçons, the song that plays in the background of the video I posted here that shows Anaïs in studio. The single has the release date set to next Monday, the February 6 on the French Amazon. I’m super excited with the release of Anaïs third album, specially because, as she announced earlier in January, it’s gonna be all about covering French classics from the 30’s to the 60’s. Anaïs have been performing this song in live concerts for a while now: The original was…

Last month I wrote a post about Loheem, a French girl who sings mostly in English. Today, the new singer, who hasn’t released a first record yet (but who already has over 100 thousand views on her videos on Youtube), released a very interesting version of Stay Away, by Nirvana. And for those who missed her very cute video with an acoustic version of Colorfield (her most successful single so far), here it is again.
